Services Offered:

I. Membership: 

KIBT Library membership is open to government officers with personal numbers, staff, MSMEs and members of the public with an interest in the field of entrepreneurship. Membership is assigned by registration.

Procedure for Registration

• Provide your staff card or your National Identity card

Clearance

Library clearance to the registered members will be based upon replacement of:

a) Lost library materials.

b) Return of borrowed library materials

Registered library users will receive an email alert on the clearance.

These rules and regulations are set by the KIBT librarian in consultancy with KIBT management for efficient delivery of services and disciplinary purposes.

All library users are advised to adhere to these rules:

• Maintain silence in the library. Mobile phones must be on silent mode or switched off while in the library.
• Bags and luggages should be left on the shelf at the entrance.
• No foods or drinks are allowed on the reading tables.
• Littering is not allowed in the library.
• Smoking and alcohol consumption is not allowed in the library.
• The library staff reserves the right to inspect books and check bags leaving the library.
• Marking or defacing of books and periodicals is forbidden.
• Readers are advised not to return books on the shelves but leave them on the reading tables.
• Library users are free to report any complaints concerning library services to the Librarian or KIBT management.

KIBT library users can access information materials on the OPAC. The KOHA Library management and information system is in use in the library.

Services offered in this section are browsing, access to audio visual materials, development of e-resources materials ,access to E-Journals: Scopus, DOAJ.org, SSRN, JURN, Bloomberg.com (for most important market news) Ajpojournals.org (for publishing academic articles) and KIBT library OPAC.

OPAC (On-line Public Access Catalogue) Section

KIBT library users can access information materials on the OPAC. KIBT uses the KOHA Library management and information system to organize information materials.

Services offered in this section are access to newspapers, magazines, newsletters, fliers and brochures.

 New library materials acquired are displayed here.

In this section information materials are processed: by Cataloguing, classification, labeling and assigning ascension numbers (Unique numbers to books). KIBT library information resources are organized using the London School of Business Classification Scheme.

 This section offers users relaxation games like scrabble, chess and monopoly game.
