Business Clinic and Mentorship

The Kenya Institute of Business Training in collaboration with Beacon of Hope recently offered business clinics to some 300 caregivers to equip them with skills to make better financial decisions and increase investments in children in their care. The three-day activity ran from Tuesday 14th to Thursday 16th February, 2023 at AIC Church-Kibra, KIBT Building -Westland and Maisha Bora Center- Dagoretti, Sub-Counties. l The business clinics were on Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management. The Caregivers were also mentored in the development of business plans to support provision of seed capital in form of assets or working capital. The training included aspects of Child Optimized Financial Education. The Beacon of Hope, established in 2002, is implementing a USAID funded project called TUMIKIA MTOTO to support Orphans and Vulnerable Children and their households in Kibra, Dagoretti and Westlands Sub-Counties using Case Management approach to ensure households are healthy, safe, and stable, schooled and enhance sustainability of livelihoods.
